On behalf of the Office of Mayor and the Board of Aldermen, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the City of Batesville, Mississippi. Located in the northwestern portion of Mississippi, the City of Batesville is made up of diverse terrains, communities, and industries offering unlimited opportunities. This unique topography allows Panola County and the City to maintain harmony between agriculture, industry and urban economic growth.

Batesville is the perfect southern town. Our hometown provides a rare and unique setting to experience a community full of gracious hospitality, culture, and an ideal setting to raise a family. We are very fortunate to have such caring citizens within our community, which makes Batesville a “one of a kind” within the Panola County area.

We are very proud of our City! We have a lot to offer, from our city services, our beautiful parks, our recreational walking trail located at Trussell Park, and an excellent academic system. We have all of this and a strong industrial base, heath care facilities, thriving businesses, and numerous civic organizations that offer advance services to individuals rooted in the City of Batesville and attract travelers in search of a vibrant and healthy community. The City of Batesville has special features you would expect in a much larger community with our small town charm, with a sense of community that provides for safe neighborhoods.

Whether you are a regular or first time visitor, it doesn’t take much to fall in love with our city and community. In fact, you’ll find that many of our new residents-to-be were completely taken on their first experience in Batesville and chose to make it their new home.
